About
The Interior Standard
Singapore has no shortage of interior design directories. What it has lacked is a standard: a single, consistent bar that a firm's work is measured against, independent of advertising budget or listing fees. The Interior Standard exists to be that bar.
We review completed work, not portfolios or pitches. A firm is assessed on the intent behind its material choices, the discipline of its execution, and whether its reasoning holds up when our editors ask why a decision was made, not just how it photographs. Firms that clear that bar are recognised. Nothing on The Interior Standard is purchased, sponsored, or guaranteed by a fee.
Recognition is by editorial review, not application. A firm can be nominated for consideration by a client, a peer, or the firm itself, but nomination is only ever the start of our review, never the outcome of it.
Our Vision
A design industry where recognition is earned by the work itself, where the firms Singapore turns to are the firms that have actually proven it, project after project, not the ones that spent the most to be seen.
Our Mission
To be Singapore's independent benchmark for interior design excellence, assessing firms on completed work, not paid placements or portfolio pitches, so every name that clears our bar can be trusted on sight.
